College Acceptance Testimonials
Dr. Vicki Boudin guided us through the overwhelming college process for my daughter. As we initially had a late start, I wasn’t confident my daughter would be able to complete her applications and get accepted anywhere! However, she not only made it into 12 schools, she received the Provost Scholarship (the highest scholarship you can receive at her college)!! College Docs took the stress away by working with my daughter every step of the way to ensure her school selections, college essay, resume and application materials were done on a timely basis. She is soon planning for graduate school!
We are now working with College Docs once again for my son. While I am much more informed this time around, it is still a very individualized process for every student. With my son’s different interests and academic background the application process has been unique for each child. I like that Vicki listens to my concerns and accepts my feedback, as well as helping me limit the nagging and power struggles with my kids. She also assists with planning for college visits. It was also very helpful to have Jason tutor for the SAT and sometimes even school exams.
I have seen tremendous growth in focus and confidence with both of my kids through this process. College Docs’s knowledge and expertise was instrumental in picking the right schools and helping to have academic success. I highly recommend both Vicki and Joan!

College Docs helped me so much with the whole college process. I was able to manage my school work and applying for school. I learned how to prepare for an interview, how to write an excellent essay and meet all of my deadlines on time. It was so helpful getting feedback about my essays, and what I needed to work on.
College Docs helped reduce a lot of my stress of the college application process. It was nice to have a lot of support and advice when it came to choosing the perfect school for me. Without them I wouldn't be where I am. I learned that if you are ever having trouble, you can go to College Docs and ask for help because they are so determined to get you to where you want to be.

The pressure of deciding on a college is immense and can easily overwhelm even the most stoic of people. This effect can be increased even more if the choice is for a graduate school. I wanted to make absolutely certain of my decision for the program that would ultimately give me a doctorate of physical therapy. This would be a roughly three-year commitment and I knew I would need help. With the help of Vicki and Joan at College Docs, I was able to do just that.
Vicki and Joan made it very clear that they take their responsibilities very seriously. We initially established a checklist including all of the steps and procedures which would eventually need to get done. After some general criteria was met, such as only top 50 ranked programs, I left it to College Docs to handle the vetting of the programs. During my very next visit they had arranged a spreadsheet of some twenty five schools which all fit my criteria and ten or so details about each one including class size, on-campus housing, length of program, study abroad opportunities, etc. Many of these details were things I had not even considered when creating my selection criteria but seeing them on the page made me realize how important they could all be in my final decision. This kind of proactive decision-making in several other places along this several month process made the laborious work load far more manageable and streamlined.
Once the school selection had been narrowed down to a dozen or so, the real work began. We spent several hours over a few sessions tweaking and revising not only the main essay, but the supplemental essays as well. All of these required extensive work and revising as they would essentially be the real determining factor between myself and all of the other academically comparable candidates. They planned ahead of the earliest deadlines for school submissions and stuck to those goals flawlessly which also helped to keep my stress levels low.
It is absolutely not an understatement at all to say I am certain I would not have gotten into the programs I had without the help of Vicki and Joan. Because of them I had my pick of programs to choose from and am now attending Northern Arizona University’s DPT program in August 2018. I cannot thank either of these two enough. Because of College Docs I am sure I am on the right path for my future.

I can't possibly thank you enough for all you've done for me. This whole college process has been such a journey that I would have been so much more difficult without you. I can now finally say that I have happily committed to the University of Florida, and I'm very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Hi Vicki,
Here I am at graduation and I just wanted to say thank you for everything. You've helped me so much in so many ways and I really appreciate it.
I couldn't have done this without you.

This information was immensely helpful,
Thanks so much,
Lesley is great. We got slammed with some horrendous weather early on but I managed to still make the best of it.
So far there seems to be lots of interesting people and classes that I can imagine will only become more accessible as the weather gets nicer.
In terms of my art the school is very engaging, frankly more so than my first college.
I owe you my thanks for helping me get in!

I am writing to tell you that I got accepted to Tufts University! I’m kind of still in the freak-out mode, but I just wanted to let you know the decision and thank you again for all your help that got me to this point. I will keep letting you know as decisions come out, this was the first one released!
I just wanted to let you know that I got accepted to Oberlin as well!
Found out I got into Haverford today! I was really surprised too, because I know Haverford only accepts <5% of transfer students. It’s very exciting and encouraging news.
Just writing you to tell you I got into both Macalester and Vassar!
I never expected to have this many options! Right now I’m leaning towards Tufts. I toured it today and I got a good vibe from it, and am kind of feeling that a slightly larger school may be better and less confining.
It’s clear from the vast difference in responses from colleges this year compared to last year that you helped me A LOT.
I found out that I got accepted to Wesleyan and Barnard!
Thank you so much for your help through the challenging application process. I’m honestly still in shock at how I ended up getting into 7/8 of these schools.
Going to Tufts next year!!!
Thanks so much!

Dr. Franklin was instrumental in fine-tuning my writing and listening to what I wanted to express in my graduate school entrance essay. She also helped me with understanding what requirements were needed to apply for graduate school and kept me to a timeline. Dr. Franklin and College Docs were extremely beneficial to my graduate school application process. I would recommend them to undergraduate and graduate students alike to assist in the application process and additional needs!
I.B., graduate student
He went from a 1580 combined to a 1730 (on the SAT). Thank you so much!!! He will be sending off his common app with confidence!!! Just that little bit of time (tutoring) with Alex made such a difference. Can you imagine what more time can do!!! Have a great New Year and I will keep making referrals to you.
The improved scores allowed him to meet admission expectations at UConn/Storrs and he is accepted!

I cannot overstate the role that Dr. Vicki Boudin played in guiding us through this process. There is absolutely NO WAY I could have done this without Vicki. She was able to establish a relationship with my daughter who was guarded and suspicious at the beginning of the process. By the mid point, Vicki and she had established quite the rapport.
Vicki was instrumental in holding my hand and guiding me through the process. My daughter would not be going to college this year without Vicki’s services. Her advice was a life saver.

We are very happy that we made the decision to work with College Docs to help us find the right college for our daughter to attend. Because her learning disabilities resulted in a poor high school GPA and low SAT scores, we were not sure which colleges, if any, would be appropriate for her. College Docs did an excellent job finding schools for us to consider. They knew which schools had good programs for students with learning disabilities. Our daughter was matched with a consultant, Dr. Joan Franklin, who was just right for her. We felt that everyone worked well together - consultant, student and parents. The consultant kept us on track with all the various deadlines. She helped our daughter edit the essays and fill out the applications.
The entire college admissions process went extremely smoothly due to the expertise of College Docs. They greatly reduced the stress of the application process. We would not have been able to work with our daughter on any aspects of this process, so we knew that we needed a third party to help us. They kept our daughter on track with what she needed to do in order to meet all the various deadlines.
We knew that our daughter would not be able to handle the college admissions process on her own and that we did not know enough about it ourselves. We knew that we needed to start the process early and that we needed help to keep on track with all of the various steps along the way. We are very grateful to College Docs for all their expertise and feel that our daughter now has an opportunity to attend an excellent college that is just right for her.

Hello Joan and Vicki,
My kids LOVE their school choices.
Surprise! C. is fully involved in school joining study groups. He stated he wants to be super successful because he never wants to leave.
S. is so organized she has surprised everyone… she whips out her resume and planner like a pro. Fantastic Disability Office – Super accommodating and they have their own tutors. There’s academic support everywhere!!!
She is receiving support for a lecture class- there’s an additional small class environment for students who need to regroup/support.
The disability office and other academic departments do have scholarships which she can apply for and she will receive merit scholarship based on academic success. Also, easy to get a work-study job.
Thank you for all you did for them. They are so happy!

Working with College Docs took the stress out of the college transfer process for us as parents. They worked with our daughter, helping her to mold her essays to truly reflect her scholastic and vocational goals and interests, as well as her accomplishments. They were very responsive and provided feedback with very quick turnaround time. They understand what colleges are looking for and their critiques were on-point and direct.
Of course the clearest measure of their helpfulness is our daughter’s success rate during the transfer process. She was accepted at seven of eight schools that she was applying to. This included several schools where she was wait-listed when she applied as a freshman.
We’re grateful to the College Docs team for helping to turn around our daughter’s college experience. After her disappointing freshman year, she has had very positive sophomore and junior years at her new school and is looking forward to her senior year.

Vicki-
We are thrilled that G. was accepted at American, and the entire family feels it is the best place for him.
Thank you for your work with G. In addition to helping him explore his options, you have also helped him with his writing skills, confidence. and overall outlook on his future. G has commented on how committed you are to the process. We would definitely recommend your services to other families.

Dear Vicki,
As my granddaughter has now accepted her first choice, American University, she is so pleased and excited to be at the end of this screening and application process and can now refocus on the time ahead with great enthusiasm. All the work applying to sixteen schools (and being accepted by so many) was a wonderful practical experience evaluating this diverse group of very good schools. Your help training and guiding C. through the alternatives, preparing an application and letter, helped her enormously to further focus and clarify her priorities and interests.
My wife and I screened many consulting firm candidates who might best provide C. good counsel to identify the best colleges and courses to prepare her for a successful and rewarding career in international business and it was a challenging process. After screening these firms with numerous conference calls and followed by a personal meeting with you, we were convinced that your integrity, years of experience and the time you would devote to guiding C. through the challenging process were pivotal. The large and diverse list of colleges domestic and global you were knowledgeable about, allowing C. to assess alternatives quickly, ‘sealed the deal’.
Over the past few months, I periodically asked C. how things were progressing and was always very pleased to hear her level of excitement and enthusiasm. She told me frequently how positive she was with your guidance and hoped to have you as a long-term friend.
Thank you,
D.R., grandparent
College Docs aided me in my college search and application process in so many ways.
One of the greatest things Dr. Vicki Boudin helped me with was expanding my list of Colleges and Universities. I went into College Docs with a list of about four schools I was interested in. By the time it was time to apply to schools I had a list of about fifteen schools that I would have been very happy to attend.
Vicki, along with Alex Racheotes, also helped me to feel prepared and confident with my applications. We spent so much time writing and carefully editing my essays and supplements, perfecting my resume, and studying for the SAT. We put in a lot of time, effort, and hard work, and I was proud of the final result of my applications.
In the end, I’m going to my first choice school! I was also accepted into a special academic program at my university. Additionally, I’ve used the resume we created to apply to various jobs - including the job I currently have. I’m very grateful for the time taken, dedication, and care that Vicki and Alex have given me. I’m appreciative of the improvement in my writing and editing skills that I’ve gained. To sum it up, I’m very grateful I got to work with College Docs for my college application process.

Dr. Franklin,
I know it has been several years since we last connected, but I wanted to take the time to say thank you for all that you did for me in the past…I can confidently say I have landed my dream job just two years out of college. My salary doubled from my previous job, and I am now sitting at 6 figures. I can now comfortably pay my student loans, rent, and help out my mom …
If you asked me 7 years ago if I would have thought this was possible for me, I would have said absolutely not. But I think back to the days where you encouraged me to believe in myself ..Thank you for coaching and guiding me towards a path of success…I wouldn't be where I am today without you, and I am better because of our work together.

Hi Vicki,
First thank you for all your help and support. I can’t tell you how many times J--- said how much he appreciated working with you on his college applications. He was well prepared and did not really have to scramble since we started early.
He likes JMU and hopefully this will be a good place for him. I have actually met a few people who have kids that went there. They have been very positive about the school.
Thanks again for all your help!

As I get ready to take my daughter to college on Thursday I realize this would not be possible without the guidance and help of Vicki Boudin from College Docs. She navigated this stressful process in a way that was impossible for me. She knew all the ins and outs of the websites and understood what schools were asking and looking for.
Covid was a most difficult time for my daughter, as it was for many. The thought of her moving on to college after this bleak period in High School was daunting. There was so much stress and anxiety in our household that for her to have to work with me on this would have been a disaster. Vicki understood her anxiety and was able to navigate her emotions, knowing when she needed a mental break and when she was ready to continue the process. She was accepted into 7 schools, allowing her to choose the school that we believe will be a perfect fit for her. The school she accepted sent a handwritten note to her guidance counselor saying how much they enjoyed reading her essay, a first for him.
I truly believe if it were not for Vicki this would have been a very difficult time for my daughter and myself. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone starting the college admission process.

Hi Vicki,
The support you provided the girls at College Docs was invaluable, and we really don’t know where we would have been without your help and support! You and Joan took so much of your time to get to know the girls including their strengths and interests, which greatly helped in the process. The support and coaching you provided with their essays was especially helpful, and we know this process would have been much more stressful without you by their side.
Thank you again.
